The Operating System or OS is like the autonomic nervous system of the computer. It translates our instructions into commands the computer can understand. Simply put, the operating system allows the computer to do things. Many users use the operating system without even realizing.
Modern operating systems use a graphical user interface or GUI. Users interact with the operating system by clicking icons, buttons, and menus.
There are differences between all of these operating systems. Becoming familiar with a new OS may take time.
