The address bar is located at the top of browser window.Left-click once in the address bar area and begin typing. As soon as you start typing the browser will offer suggestions.
If you see the address you want, click on that suggestion and the complete address will be automatically entered into the address bar.
If you don’t see a suggestion for the website you want, after you’ve completed typing in the complete URL or address, press Enter on your keyboard.
In Chrome, the address bar area is known as the Omnibox because it combines typical web address ability with Google’s search engine capability. The Omnibox offers suggestions for webpages and search terms as letters are typed, which makes navigating the web faster and easier.
In the Omnibox:
- Suggestions in green text are webpages
- Suggestions in black text are potential searches
